Sista! Quartet

Sista logoSista! is a ‘top 5’ women’s a cappella quartet from Sydney’s Northern Beaches Chorus, achieving five Sweet Adelines regional medals between 2011 and 2017 with a silver medal as their highest placing.  The girls were honoured to receive the Wendy Middleton Award for Most Improved Quartet in the 2013 contest. In 2014, debuting their new Tenor Linda Wareham, Sista! won the silver medal at the Eastern Region Barbershop Harmony Australia women’s quartet contest.  They competed in Perth, Western Australia at the 2017 Sweet Adelines International regional contest, earning the 5th place medal.

As the Friday night heat winners of the Short+Sweet Voices Festival, they performed in the finals at the Concourse Theatre in March 2015. They tied for the Audience Choice Award in their heat as well.

The quartet performed as the NSW State Champions in the National AUS-ACA A Cappella Championships run by Vocal Australia at Village Melbourne Ormond Hall in 2014, taking the Best Jazz Song Award. They won the State Title, performing at the Verbrugghen Hall at Sydney Conservatorium. Their voices are included in a collaboration single called ‘She’ featuring the AUS-ACA State Champions, produced by Nick Girard of The House Jacks.

The girls have also recorded the soundtrack of a new promotional video for Masters Swimming Australia. They featured in the Showstoppers concert at Asquith Leagues Club in July and lent their voices to Soroptomist International at an event to support their fundraising for a much needed women’s shelter in the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai area.
